Greetings, my name is Kenisha Reese, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I started my career as a Qualified Mental Health Professional over 15 years ago after graduating with my bachelor’s degree in social work (BSW) from Shaw University and pursued my master’s degree in social work (MSW) at the University of Maryland, Baltimore. I have experience working with individuals that suffer with mental illness in many different settings; community-based, institutions, hospitals, private practice and private homes. I believe although we face tough times, we deserve to have a good quality of life and to excel in reaching life’s potential.
I believe people know themselves best and are the most reliable source for treatment. My role is to work together with my clients to provide therapeutic knowledge, skills, and treatment to develop solutions to presenting issues.
A good therapeutic relationship includes trust, genuineness, openness, and positive outcomes, and that is the type of service I intend to provide. I have experience in a range of modalities including EMDR, CBT, SFT, and TFCBT to name a few.
I am passionate about bringing understanding and resolution to individuals who have been through stressful and traumatic events. My goal is to help individuals obtain healthy insights and strengthen their interpersonal relationships so they can experience a sense of peace and safety.
Outside of caring for others, I love spending time with family and friends and enjoying life.
